Lab file 07 Carbon race trainer — Release 16.10.2026
VX-1Carbon.
186 grams of unfair advantage.
- Weight
- 186g
- Stack
- 38mm
- Drop
- 8mm
- Plate
- 1.1mm
A full-length carbon plate, thirty-eight millimetres of nitrogen-set foam and an upper you can see daylight through. We built a lens so you can check our work.
01 The lens
Every shoe says it’s fast. Ours lets you look.
Outside the glass it’s a product shot. Inside, it’s the lab file: what the plate does, where the heat goes, and every dimension we argued about for fourteen months.
02 Plate
A spoon, not a spring.
1.1 mm of unidirectional carbon, laid in a scooped curve. It stiffens the forefoot so your toes stop spending energy on flexing, then rolls you forward off a 4.2° rocker. It doesn’t bounce. It just refuses to waste anything.
- 1.1 mm plate thickness
- 4.2° toe spring
- 62% rocker apex
03 Foam
Thirty-eight millimetres of almost nothing.
VX Foam is a supercritical PEBA, expanded with nitrogen until it is 81% air. Under the thermal lens you can watch it take a footstrike, spread the load across the heel and hand it forward.
- 87% energy return
- 0.09 g/cm³ density
- 30 mm forefoot
04 Upper
Built from one thread and an argument.
A single-layer engineered mesh, knitted in one piece with 212 zones of different density — open where your foot runs hot, closed where it needs holding. The ripstop cage over the midfoot weighs less than the laces.
- 212 knit zones
- 0 stitched seams
- 11 g ripstop cage
